“Happily ever after” almost doesn’t cut it when it comes to this dreamy wedding at The Pierce House in Lincoln, MA.

It was love at first sight when the couple laid eyes on the stunning mansion. As the groom is from France and the bride from the Northeast, it seemed just perfect to tie the knot in a place with both New England history and European inspired architecture. A ceremony on the grounds led to a tented reception where blush arrangements and twinkling bistro lights crafted an aura of timeless elegance. Lawn games and cocktails, followed by dinner and dancing made this celebration simply unforgettable.

Thank you to Jaclyn L Photography for sharing these amazing photos!

kristi-dave-camden-maine-wedding-24

Misty marina views, a cozy garden ceremony and yacht club after party? It’s official, we’re head over heels for Kristi and Dave’s Camden wedding.

Maine has always held a special place in Kristi and Dave’s hearts. When it came time to tie the knot, the state was a natural choice for these lovebirds. The couple became, “Mr. and Mrs.” in a touching ceremony on the grounds of the Camden Public Library. The pair stole away for a rendezvous by the water before joining guests at the nearby Camden Yacht Club. We love how Kristi and Dave honored their favorite Maine spots with ribbon-wrapped escort tags. Thanks to the wonderful Bethany and Dan Photography for sharing these images with us!

Watershed Floral

L&L: Tell us a little bit about you & your business.
Watershed Floral grew from many years working at Kennebec Flower Farm in Bowdoinham. Customers would comment on the bouquets I made for the farmers’ market and started asking if I did arrangements for weddings. At first, I said no. I worked full time as a teacher and the thought of being in charge of the flowers for someone’s big day seemed overwhelming. But then my friends started getting married, and I was the go-to flower gal. I grew my skills and my confidence, and after a few years decided to launch Watershed Floral. It grew slowly at first. I kept my teaching job and only did events during summer vacation. Three years ago I left teaching to focus on flowers. It’s been an exciting (and scary) adventure!

L&L: Describe the range of services you offer.
I offer everything from a bridal bouquet & boutonniere for a small wedding or elopement to full scale – wedding party, ceremony, and reception.

I also have a lot of unique vases and other props that are available to rent as part of a floral package.

L&L: What are some of your favorite venues and vendors you enjoy working with in the area?
There are so many wonderful places in Maine to get married and so many talented vendors. Too hard to choose!

L&L: How far in advance do couples usually book you for their wedding day?
There is huge variation in this. Ranging from summer of next year, to weddings for this fall. Most people are somewhere in between.

L&L: How do most clients find you?
Word of mouth. Most clients come to me because another vendor or former client sent them my way. Also features on blogs really great!

L&L: What is the most memorable wedding you’ve worked at and why?
This is a very difficult question. Each one is so unique. And I have favorites for different reasons. Some weddings are memorable because I had a personal connection to the bride & groom. My sister’s best friend got married last summer and I did the flowers for that wedding. It was special to me because I had known most of the bridal party since childhood. I had two weddings last year, one at The Barn at Walnut Hill and the other at Newagen Inn, that incorporated a lot of plants, which as a former farmer and avid gardener was really fun for me!

L&L: How can couples get in touch with you?
The best way is through the contact form on my website. This allows me to collect some preliminary information about the event. Email is good too – sarah@watershedfloral.com.
