L&L: Tell us a little bit about you & your business.

I have been in the floral industry for over 10 years- I started real young 😉 – running floral shops and design teams- before venturing out on my own and starting a floral design company and opening up a shop/studio location in Cambridge, MA. We have serviced weddings and events from Boston, throughout New England, and even beyond (North Carolina & California). My approach to design is to celebrate the natural movement and beauty of each element- from the blossoms to the greenery. We include fruits, textures, and blossoms that inspire all of the senses and create designs that look so lush you just want to take a bite out of them.

L&L: Describe the range of services you offer.

We offer floral design and styling services- this is truly my passion! We fulfill wedding and event orders across New England and beyond. We also offer gardening consultations and create outdoor green spaces for several clients across the city- there’s nothing more beautiful than getting your hands dirty to transform spaces with plants and greens! In addition we have offered some styling services beyond flowers, including table scape design for clients and editorial styling services for publications, whenever a unique opportunity comes our way.

L&L: What is one thing you would say makes your business unique in the industry?

We are a full service floral studio but we have a very personal approach to each project we are working on. All of the clients we have worked with for the past three years have found us through referrals from previous clients. We offer unique designs custom for every client and event. I also strive to source locally grown and sustainable product and incorporate elements created by local vendors, as much as possible.

L&L: What are some of your favorite venues and vendors you enjoy working with in the area?

L&L: How far in advance do couples usually book you for their wedding day?

It ranges. Typically 10-12 months in advance, though this year it as been very common for clients to inquire over a year in advance. There is always a few couples and events we squeeze in at the last minute– because we’ve all been there!

L&L: How do most clients find you?

Honestly, most of my clients have found us directly through references from previous clients. We have been so fortunate to have truly wonderful clients- individuals, companies, restaurants, publications- and have had some amazing adventures. I also have the unique opportunity to meet some wonderful people who stop into visit our shop.

L&L: What is the most memorable wedding you worked at and why?

I want to say that all of our weddings are so memorable and we have been part of so many beautiful events and stories. Truth be told, I’m a total romantic for the misadventure and the genius behind the scenes floral moments, though. One of the most memorable weddings we worked on was on a tiny island off of Maine, for a very sweet and beautiful couple. Traveling to the island was quite an adventure! We packed all of our bouquets, centerpieces and buckets and buckets of flowers onto a very tiny water taxi, driven by a studly captain who’s name was Lincoln, through choppy Atlantic waters during a very determined storm. The experience was so intense, we were then taxied over very muddy and bumpy terrain. When we made it to the venue, the skies opened up, sun came pouring down, a rainbow appeared, the peonies and garden roses popped, and magic happened. It was definitely one of those moments you say to yourself “I love this job”!
