L&L: Tell us a little bit about you & your business.

Richard and I both have a background in weddings and event rentals. His family owns a similar business, so he grew up in it. I ran a venue for ten years and expanded into rentals as a way to make money off of excess inventory. We partnered last year, changed the name to reflect more of our passion and focus, and here we are!

L&L: Describe the range of services you offer.

We offer tents, tables, chairs, dance floors, place settings, etc. Anything you would need to make your event happen. Richard particularly enjoys lighting; he loves to set the mood with just the right touch. We also offer vintage china, gorgeous farm tables, some other vintage items, and planning services.

L&L: What is one thing you would say makes your business unique in the industry?

We are both involved in every rental; anyone who works with us works directly with the owners, and we discuss every detail. You are not just another customer to us.

L&L: What are some of your favorite venues and vendors you enjoy working with in the area?

Barns are still super hot right now, and we enjoy working with Hardy Farm in Fryeburg, Moody Mountain Farm Barn in Wolfeboro, and Highland House in Tamworth. We also love the Tin Mountain Conservation Center building in Albany. There are so many talented vendors in this area, it’s almost unfair to the rest of the state! Philbrick Photography, Kivalo and Birch Blaze are some of our favorite photographers. And you can never go wrong with food from Marty Sweeney or White Mountain Cider Company.

L&L: How far in advance do couples usually book you for their wedding day?

A year out is the best scenario, as couples will have the most inventory availability. But, we get plenty of groups calling a month in advance for linens and china. You take your chances!

L&L: How do most clients find you?

Our best source is always referrals, usually from vendors. We work hard at those relationships and want everyone to be taken care of.

L&L: What is the most memorable wedding you’ve worked at and why?

Richard once did a wedding where the entire tent was draped in fine imported silks. He has a reputation for perfection and did not disappoint the family. My favorites are always the one where I end up with a special connection to the couple, and we keep in touch over the years. I have plenty of past couples as Facebook friends, and I love watching them evolve and grow their families. One of my favorites: the groom was a brewer for a NH company, and he created a special brew for his bride. They had the best, most welcoming party, and we were all family by the end of the night.
