L&L: Tell us a little bit about you & your business.

I live and work full time, from my home studio on the beautiful coast of Maine. I paint your memories and I love what I do. I work with couples to design unique and personalized wedding favors, cake toppers, stemware and gifts. Knowing that my work is creating their memories, is satisfying and rewarding and quite humbling. I love this personal connection I make with my clients. When a bride shares that her experience working with me, is one of the least stressful parts of their wedding planning, I know I have accomplished what I set out to do from beginning to end.

L&L: Describe the range of services you offer.

I design and hand paint custom wedding favors, stemware, cake toppers and gifts.

L&L: What is one thing you would say makes your business unique in the industry?

My hand painted lobster buoy and lighthouse favors make great ornaments for family and guests. They become cherished memories that are brought out each year during the holidays.

L&L: How far in advance do couples usually book you for their wedding day?

It really varies. Most often six to eight months before Wedding Day. Although, now that I have transitioned to a full time self-employment, I am able to take on more short notice custom orders for couples who find me closer to their big day and want me to paint for them.
L&L: How do most clients find you?

Most of my clients find me through the internet searching for buoys and nautical wedding favors, that gets them to my Etsy Shop or my Website, MaineWeddingArtist.com.

L&L: What is the most memorable wedding you’ve worked at and why?

My most memorable wedding is my first wedding back in 2012. At that time I was only selling my buoys as Christmas Ornaments and the bride reached out to me and asked if I ever make them as favors. I said, “Yes I can!” Since then I have painted for over 30 weddings. She continues to be a wonderful repeat client for custom, personalized ornaments as wedding gifts for family and friends.
