It’s no secret that the majority of couples prefer to have their engagement photos taken in the summer, and we can’t argue against that. The beautiful sunsets and warm sand beneath your toes is hard to beat. But here at Love & Lobster we like to embrace all the beautiful seasons New England has to offer and we think winter engagement sessions are way underrated. What’s more romantic then curling up in a snuggly blanket with a warm coffee in hand next to the one you love? So today we’re giving you a few inspiration ideas to spice up your winter engagement.

Tree Farm –  If you are looking to kill two birds with one stone how about incorporating your holiday card photos with your engagement session, and what better place to resemble the holiday cheer with a tree farm! Grab a plaid blanket, warm clothes, and don’t forget your saw!

Ice CastlesThe Ice Castles in Lincoln, NH are not only a fun activity for you and your fiance they also make for a killer backdrop for your winter engagement photos.

Outside Activities – Are you an outdoorsy-adventurous couple? Whether sledding, skiing, or hiking is your thing head out and incorporate your own personal style in your photos. Glowing white snow looks great in photos.

Coffee Shop – So maybe you’re not into conquering the cold or your scheduled session date is calling for below zero temps, an easy and awesome alternative is to hit up your favorite local coffee shop. Many coffee shops are full of personality and unique characteristics so how about incorporating it into your session?
