Love & Lobster signing off

Best wishes from Love & Lobster<br><a href=http://www.emilieink.com target=_blank>Alina McGinty</a>

Did we sound a touch sentimental yesterday in our roundup of Love & Lobster’s all-time greatest posts? Well, there’s a reason for that. After more than two years of sharing wedding inspiration, trends, advice, real love stories, and inside tips, we’ve decided to drop the curtain on our beloved blog.

This will be our final post.

It’s not that we couldn’t go on and on about the charms of New England as a first-class wedding destination. Trust us, we could. But we – the team at emilie inc. – have decided to focus our time and effort on other avenues. L&L has fostered so many connections among sweet couples and top-notch wedding professionals that we know this isn’t really the end, but we’re still (sniffle) sad to see it go.

(We admit we’re crossing our fingers that someone might come along to give L&L a second act. She’s our baby, but we’re open to placing her in a loving new home.)

There have been so many great memories along the way. We helped one couple to win a dream wedding, saw a proud mom’s story of offering her blessing on her daughter’s engagement pull readers’ heartstrings, and happily followed Jen Pepper’s wedding planning blossom from a rock on her finger to heartfelt vows at sea.

We’ve tried to keep it real, too, touching on scheduling conflicts, strongly held opinions about brides changing their last names, and exploring the oh-so-romantic topic of wedding insurance — in case, say, a treacherous hurricane threatens to spoil your wedding day.

For my part, I’ve had such fun sharing my own wedding planning process with you all. It’s hard to believe I’m watching L&L come to a close as my new wedded life begins.

We can’t thank all of you enough for joining us in this little adventure. You’ve told us your love stories, opened up your doors, offered your expertise, and shared in our big, unabashed crush on New England, weddings, and true love.

We couldn’t have done it without you.
